According to the current applied situation of the traffic information collection,this paper introduces a loop detector system which is based on microcontroller,and analyzes the structure and function of this system.The principal part of the hardware in this system is chiefly controlled by AT89C2051,this system realizes the dynamic traffic information collection, and the collected data reflect the pass or existence condition of the vehicles real-timely.This system is simple,and is easy to operate;it can detect vehicles precisely,and can be used in the highway traffic flow detection and the road security system.
