Discussion on Construction of Substation Video Monitoring System

The key technology and solution of video monitoring system construction （modification） are understood and grasped to make technical preparation for the modification of video monitoring system in the corporation. The application of video technology in power system is investigated and analyzed, and the construction of the system in Guangdong, Jiangsu and Anhui power grid are investigated. Based on the investigation, the structure of video monitoring system can be summarized into the emergency command merged type video monitoring, the four levels video monitoring and the three levels video monitoring. Based on the actual situation in Guangxi power grid, it is suggested that the structure of the substation video monitoring system be constructed on three levels of province, region and substation.
