Abstract:Conventional powder metallurgy materials contain residual pores,which affects the materials properties and restricts the product shape.As representative full density material,the densification process of powder metallurgy high speed steel is a big breakthrough of powder metallurgy technology.Another major breakthrough is powder injection molding for complex shapes of powder metallurgy parts.This article described new developments of the two major breakthroughs in recent years.
