| Abstract: | UV-curable waterborne polyurethane （WPU） emulsions were prepared mainly from isophorone diiso- cyanate （ IPDI）, polyetherol, 2,2-bis（hydroxymethyl） propionic acid （ DMPA）, hydroxyethyl methacrylate （ HE- MA） by acetone method. The effect of polyether polyol segment on the properties of UV-curable WPU emulsions was discussed. The results showed that the PTMG1000 and PTMG2000 based WPU emulsions had relatively small particle sizes and low viscosities comparing with the PEG400,PPG2000 based WPU emulsions. The PTMG1000 and PTMG2000 based WPU films had high storage modulus and tensile strength, while the PEG400 and PPG2000 based WPU films had high breaking elongation. |
