矿物纤维表面改性及其在造纸中应用

摘    要:针对造纸常用填料(滑石粉、碳酸钙)加填量较大时填料留着低、纸张强度严重下降等问题,选用具有较高长径比的矿物纤维为原料,利用淀粉与棕榈酸反应形成疏水复合物包覆在矿物纤维表面的方法对其表面改性,研究改性矿物纤维制备工艺及改性前后矿物纤维对纸张性能的影响.结果表明:当m(淀粉):m(矿物纤维)为1:1,m(棕榈酸):m(淀粉)为3:10、反应温度80℃时,制得的改性矿物纤维性能相对最好,相同加填量下,加填改性矿物纤维的纸张不仅填料留着高,而且仍具有良好的性能,当加填量为25%时,加填改性矿物纤维纸张的耐破指数和抗张指数分别比加填原矿物纤维的纸张提高了42%和35%,纸页灰分前者比后者高9.9%,且纸张白度明显提高.

Abstract:Traditional fillers such as talc and calcium carbonate show low retention during pa-permaking and consequently the paper strength is seriously decreased. Mineral-fiber with high aspect ratio was modified by starch and palmitic acid which formed the water-insoluble complex on the surface of mineral-fiber. The preparation technology and the effects of the starch-miner-al fiber complex on the paper performance were studied. The results show that the best modifi-cation conditions are: the weight ratio of starch/mineral-fiber is 1/1, palmitic acid/starch is 3/ 10, and reaction temperature is 80 ℃. Under same dosage of filler, the filler retention and pa-per performance of the starch-mineral fiber filled paper are better than those with the unmodi-fied filler. When the dosage is 25%, comparing with the unmodified mineral-fiber filled paper, the burst index and tensile index of the starch-mineral fiber complex filled paper are increased by 42% and 35% respectively. The ash content increased by 9.9% and whiteness increased dis-tinctly.
