| Abstract: | C3S and C3S+2% CaCl2 were hydrated for varied times; the degree of hydration and zeta potential were determined. In the absence of CaCl2, the duration of the induction period was 5 h, whereas when CaCl2 was added, an induction period of 1 h was observed. The zeta potential was positive, maximum, and constant during induction . |
