| Abstract: | In this letter,the fundamental principle and.the fabrication methods and the technological progress of polarization maitaining optical fibers(PMFs) of the fibers are generalized.Then the market and applied fields of the PMFs are formulated.Finally,the novelty technological directions for PMFs are presented. |
