Course design using software engineering methods

This paper describes a pedagogical project that was conducted to design a course on Dedicated Microcomputer Design. Based on the similarities which exist between the design of a course and the structured development of a computer program, an adaptation of some software engineering methodologies was used to design this new course. All the design tasks which were performed to realize this project are presented here in the context of the seven design phases of a Course Life Cycle model.
