Factors affecting gripping force of diaphragm chucks |

| Abstract: | Pertinent diaphragm chuck parameters include the inside and outside diameters of the diaphragm plate and the workpiece diameter. Experiments confirm the dependence of gripping force on these parameters. Tables are provided to facilitate the calculation of gripping force. Optimum workpiece diameter is recommended. |
