| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the causes leading to shell formation at bath level in mould of No. 1 caster at No. 3 steelmaking Plant, Jinan Steel. The result shows that the optimized SEN parameters qualified quality of molten steel, well - insulation powder and improved operation are the essential factors to eliminate the shell formation at bath level. |
