摘    要:介绍了DES及其发展,以及利用Internet联网计算机的空闲CPU时间攻破DES的情况。从1997年初,美国已经开始计划建立新的加密标准AES,并在世界范围内公开征集AES算法。本文对此也作了介绍,并介绍了AES标准的提纲。

Abstract:In June, 1997, it is the first time anyone has publicly shown that a message encryption with DES can be read. In this paper, we introduces DES with its development, and something about attacking DES by using spare CPU time from thousands of ordinary PCs on the Internet. At the beginning of 1997, a process to develop a Federal Information Proceeding Stan-dard(FIPS) for Advanced Encryption Standard(AES) is being initiated by the National Institute of Standard and Technology(NIST). A call for AES Candidate Algorithms has published all over the world. This paper introduces the draft of AES evaluation criteria.
