New Methanol Catalyst Production Line Commissioned at Tianke

Sichuan Tianyi Science ＆ Technology Shareholding Company （hereinafter referred to as “Tianke Shareholding”）, which was established based on the Southwest Chemical Research Institute, has successfully started the commissioning of a production line for manufacture of the copper based catalyst for methanol synthesis, which was constructed by means of the self-owned technology. Testing has shown that the activity, selectivity and thermal stability of the XNC-9 catalyst are on a par with those of similar overseas catalysts. By now the total output of the copper-based catalyst at Tianke Shareholding has been increased to 1000 t/a, which can meet the domestic and overseas demand for the methanol synthesis catalyst.

New Methanol Catalyst Production Line Commissioned at Tianke

The new technology for production of cyclohexanone through oxidation of cyclohexane with oxygen-enriched air undertaken by Baling Petrochemical Co. has made marked headway. Application of the technology for oxidation of cyclohexane with oxygen-enriched air can significantly increase the gas flow on unit volume of oxidation reactor to boost the capacity of reactor and tail gas recovery system of the cyclohexanone unit by 40%-50% without increasing the total tail gas emissions.
