According to the extensive practical investigation in the army, we find that setting the monitoring marking stone of straight buried optical cable circuit or not -to set the monitor system of the optical cable jacket and the tie in box or not is a controversial question. By analyzing the technology and the economy of the straight buried optical cable circuit, we put forward a rational plan on the setting of the marking stone, which can meet both the technical requirements on the reliable operation of the straight buried optical cable circuit and the requirements on the investment of the circuit construction.
