Abstract:Aluminum producing industry is an energy-gobbling monstrosity, however, in the aluminum producing industry its electricity utilization ratio is no more than 50 percent. That is to say, there is a great potentiality to improve the ratio. In the paper, the efficiency of voltage and current is analyzed; the magnetic fields in Hall-Heroult cells are described by computer. According to the relationship of magnetic fields and energy consumption, several methods of saving energy are presented.
