| Abstract: | This paper presents the selection of materials, manufacturing equipment and process for the production of step index PMMA plastic fibers by co extrusion. It discussed the factors influencing the optical properties of the PMMA plastic fibers. Plastic fibers with attenuation of 200 800 dB/km were produced. |
