| Abstract: | In this paper, the development in the manufacturing techology of ethylene oxide and ethylene glycol has been described. The advancement of study on several methods to prepare ethyleneglycol, mainly including direc synthesis from syngas,formaldehyde electrohydrodimerization, photo irradiation of methnol, oxidative coupling of dimethyl ether, hydrogenation and hydrogenolysis of higher polyol, has been summarized. |
