简述居住小区理论的发展背景,理性地审视了居住小区理论面临的诸多挑战,从分析理论面临的变革因素角度提出了革新居住小区理论的迫切性,分析其理论价值并指出保留居住小区理论的重要性。对居住小区理论的概念提出了修改,提出提高居住小区的人口规模、调整居住区规划组织结构、调整居住小区的交通组织方式、调整居住小区的公共设施配置内容与指标、调整居住小区的绿地系统配置指标等设想,试图探索一种适合当今中国城市住宅区建设的新的理论。

A Review of Residential Quarter Theory in the "Planning and Design Standard of Urban Residential Area (2002)"

This article reviews China’s residential quarter theory used in planning practice.The paper suggests that it is time to redefine the theory with changing circumstances. The paper proposes the up-scaling of residential quarters,the reorganization of planning structure,the adjustment of road systems,and the modification of design standards for public facilities and urban green systems.
