Abstract:Here,taking the shield building structure of AP1000 nuclear reactor as the study object,its overall dynamic catastrophe behavior was evaluated under the action of single and sequential ground motions.Then,based on zoning concept,it was divided into 9 annular zones including BS-1,BS-2,MS-1—MS-7 along its height direction,and 24 sub-zones of C1—C24 with an interval of 15°along the annular direction.The dynamic catastrophe behavior and damage development of each refined sub-region were explored under actions of sequential design earthquake and super design one.The study showed that damage and deformation characteristics of the shield plant structure under actions of design earthquake,super design one and even giant one are mainly shear failure;with increase in PGA,the damage firstly expands and penetrates along the ring belt at the height of an opening,and then extends up and down along the height;the damage degree is the most serious at the gate opening ring belt,followed by the upper opening ring belt,and the third one is the foundation area and the area between upper and lower openings,and the last one is the top water tank area;the aggravating effect of aftershocks on structural damage after main earthquake is still concentrated in the damaged area,with increase in PGA of ground motion,the aggravating effect increases firstly and then decreases;the damage at the gate opening area directly affects damage development of the shield building,the catastrophic behavior at this area should be described with the maximum damage value,and the average damage value can be used to describe that of other areas;targeted enhancement treatment measures should be taken for the gate opening in design.
