Experiment and Research of GDI Engine Secondary Injection Strategies

The effects of the secondary injection strategy on a naturally aspirated GDI engine combustion,economy and emission performance were researched and secondary injection parameters were optimized.It provided the data and basis for the optimization of related parameters of this type of engine.The results show that the increase of second injection ratio cause the deterioration of combustion quality as well as the small rise of THC and PN emissions under given condition.The combustion pressure and temperature in cylinder is lower.In terms of second injection timing,an optimal injection timing which makes the combustion and emissions performance best.The optimal second injection timing is 160°CA in this test,delay or advance of the second injection timing is bad for combustion and emissions.
