Strengthening of Jicum Dam Foundation and Generation benefit Analysis

The article describes the deterioration of the red stratum dam foundation and strengthening of Jicun Hydro Power Station through the analysis of the long-term measured seepage and the plant operation, it is has been proved that, the strengthening principles and measures relying mainly on blocking, making drainage subsidiary and setting up an overall fortification, have increased the Jicum large dam safety degree gradually, and gained the more evident economic benefits. The article strongly points out that, in order to ensure dam safety and bring power generation of water power station into full play, the dam safety management must be stressed during design, construction and operation.
