介绍子全球辊面不小于1400mm的4辊或6辊单机架铝带冷轧生产线设备及其工艺。截止2000年底，全球有辊面宽度小于1400mm的4辊铝带轧机约125台，辊面宽度不小于1400mm的4辊／6辊单机架铝带轧机约410台，双机架4辊冷连轧机列17条（含6辊的），3机架4辊冷连轧机列8条，5机架4辊冷轧机列6条，6机架4辊冷轧机列1条，还有一些2辊的块片冷轧机，它们的总生产能力约18Mt/a。在辊面宽度不小于1400mm的4辊铝带冷轧机中：带卷质量为10－18t的占28％左右；轧制速度不低于1500m/min的有约30台，占总数的6％左右。
