A Robust Algorithm for Pitch Marking for Speech Signal Processing

An algorithm for marking pitch at the location of the largest amplitude of continuous speech signal is described, which is based on the finding of glottal closure instants in laryngograph signal. By adjusting the parameters, the algorithm can find the pitch marks automatically. The experiments show that this algorithm is robust to pitch doubling or halving errors, which are typical problems in automatic pitch detection.
