Abstract: | Abstract A mathematical model is developed to describe the unsteady diffusion in a multi‐layer medium with interfaces that have non‐zero thickness. A general interface condition is used to account for the secondary phenomena that may take place in the interfaces. Analytical solution is obtained by the use of the linear operator method. An example is given to show the effects of the secondary phenomena on the diffusion behavior in the diffusion process with membrane as the interfaces. |
