| Abstract: | In the last three years, the enormous development has been made in the field of high energy laser weapon. The first generation of the practical weapon systems will come out soon. This article reviews American high energy laser weapon programs and recent developments. The significant progresses of various laser weapon technologies were reviewed and analyzed. Finally, we briefly describe the recent tests of the laser firing at a satellite. |
