Application of Roller Traction Method in West to East Gas Pipeline Projec

There are thrice pipeline crossings through the midline of South to North Water Diversion Project within Henan province for West to East Gas Pipeline Project. The length of each crossing is about 200m. The roller traction crossing method is utilized in the main pipeline. The advantage of this method as well as the construction procedure and means are described in the paper. By this method, the traction distance for each operation is long, traction speed is fast, and the risk of ditch work is low. The construction equipment at work site can be used efficiently and the construction cost be reduced.
