Introduction of new-type two-roll high speed cold pilger mill

This article introduces the structure and feature of the new-type fully-automatic high speed 2-roll cold pilger mill that has been developed and put into industrial production in China for the first time. This mill uses many sets of AC servo motors to realize turning/feeding movement by multi-point driving and multi-axial synchronized driving modes. Two sets of mandrel chucks and two sets of tube blank chucks work alternately to realize the continuous loading, feeding and wiling. The dual-spindle and sector block inertial force balancing system is used to realize high speed rolling. The mill is of high productivity and high precision. The overall e-quipment level reaches the international advanced level.
