| Abstract: | The blackening of iron and steel includes alkaline blackening at high temperature, blackening at room temperature, non-toxic blackening at room temperature, black phosphating, blackening on electroless and electro-deposits, and black nickel-zinc or nickel-tin alloy electrodeposits. Mechanism, current status of the blackening of iron and steel were described, direction of the study in future was suggested. |
