摘 要: | 在考虑放大自发辐射(ASE)、均匀掺杂和稳态的情况下,数值求解出铒镱共掺波导放大器(EYCDWA)在前端单向泵浦、后端单向泵浦和前后两端双向泵浦三种泵浦方式下波导内部的各能级粒子数分布。对EYCDWA各能级粒子数的计算不仅揭示了一些已知现象的产生原因,也发现了一些新的规律,如铒离子亚稳态能级上粒子数变化率最大的地方表现为EYCDWA内部具有增益极值;在前端单向泵浦方式下靠近波导输出端该能级上的粒子数最少,EYCDWA产生的噪声最小。

Research on Energy State Population Distribution of Er3+/Yb3+Co-doped Waveguide Amplifier |

Abstract: | In order to analyze the effects of the forward-, backward- and bidirectional pumped styles on the energy state population distribution of the Er3+/Yb3+ co-doped waveguide amplifier (EYCDWA), the rate equations and the light propagation equations are solved under the amplified spontaneous emission (ASE),uniform dopant and steady-state condition. The calculation of each level population in EYCDWA not only reveals the causes of some known phenome-non, but also explores some new laws. For example, the greatest change rate of metastable level population leads to the local gain extremum in EYCDWA,and the amplifier used forward-pumped style can obtain the minimum noise be-cause the population close to output port reaches least. |
