Abstract:Although fumed silica is one of the most important sophisticated ultrafine inorganic new material,its hydrophilic surface silanols restrict its application used as hydrophobic product in some fields.In order to improve its properties and enlarge its application fields,the researchers had already done a lot of fruitful work in the modification of the surface structure and the property of silica.This essay expounded on the subject of the research findings and the industrialized technologies of the surface modification of silica in recent years.
