| 摘 要： | 词汇是语言的基本元素,英汉两种语言词汇承载着不同的文化内涵。要掌握两种语言,就必须掌握两种文化。学习英语时应对英美等国的民俗风情、价值观念有所了解,这有利于提高对中外文化差异的敏感性和鉴别能力,克服文化差异造成的跨文化交际障碍。

| Abstract: | English and Chinese words mirror different culture contents. Language acquisition and culture acquisition should be synchronized, so it is important to know some western customs, habits and values. Failure to receive such information in cross-cultural communication will in all probability lead to communicative breakdown. This paper discusses the differences between some English and Chinese words under different culture backgrounds. |
