Unfired chemically bonded magnesia products for open-hearth roofs

Conclusions An experimental batch of unfired reinforced products having a chemical bond was produced and tested in the roof of a small open-hearth furnace. The wear intensity of these refractories is 30–60% less than the wear of ordinary fired roof products produced by enterprises in the Ogneuporerud Trust.
