| Abstract: | This paper presents the investigation on first ignition process at enginestarting in swirl chamber of diesel engine by using the technique of high-speed photogra-phy.With direct observation and analysis of the injection spray,the ignition spot andthe flame spread,the starting hole in combustion chamber plays a role in improving theengine starting performance.And the way to improve starting performance is also po-inted out.The investigation has been verified on production engines. |
