Design and Construction of Prestressed Huge Frame Used in Building Renovation

Huge concrete frames with prestressed transition beams (huge prestressed frames in short) can be applied in adding more storeys to existing large plane multi storey buildings. The advantages are the renovation can be carried out without stopping the serviceability of the building and the storey height and self weight can be reduced as much as possible. It is an economical and practical method of renovating existing buildings which are located in the limited land of urban areas.
