| Abstract: | Bio - diesel, a renewable energy, can be prepared by transesterification of animal fat and/or oil. With a promising prospect, bio -diesel possesses many better characteristics than fossil fuel, thus the development of bio - diesel industry in China is of important practical significance and huge potential, and research of the production method with low- cost is the hotspot in this field. In this article, main characteristics, production methods, research and application of bio - diesel as well as prospect of bio - diesel in China were reviewed. |
