Software development for GSM cell capacity planning analyzing and base station equipment management based on Ericsson OSS data

The management software for planning analyzing of GSM cell capacity and base station equipment management was developed according to traffic statistical data and command output data from Ericsson OSS. The method to create a normal distribution was adopted and the network structure was considered for the software development of planning analyzing. In the base station equipment management,the relationship among all the equipments in the RBS6000 series bases station is clearly displayed in the forms of table and diagram. A method to judge the possible redundance in the cell carrier hardware is given. Ap-plication effect indicates that the software can support the analyzing and planning of capacity in GSM radio network,and the op-timizing adjustment of base station equipments efficiently.
