纸的发明与包装考

根据考古发掘的西汉初年古纸,推论造纸术可能发明于战国时代的长江流域,而非东汉时期的黄河中游地区;《考工记》中的“筐人”可能指造纸工官;古纸最初用于日常杂用包装和穿著,以后,纸质提高,方用于书写和绘图;纸包装的历史可上溯到战国时代;药丸纸包装则可上溯到汉咸帝时代(公元前32～前7年),已有2000年的悠久历史了。

Invention of Paper and Its Use in Packaging

Unearthed Paper made in the earlyWest-Han Dynasty suggests that the invention of paper making technology may have come into being not in themiddle reaches of the Yellow River during the Warring State Period but in the reaches of the Yangtze River during the early West-Han Dynasty. The term Kuanren in the book Handicraft may refer to a kind of official in charge of a paper making business. Ancient paper was first used as wrappings for daily necessities or as clothing. With the improvement in quality,it began to be applied to writing and painting. Pater packaging may date back to the Warring State Period and paper packaging for medicine pills may date back to the Reign of Hancheng Emperor (32-7AD), which was more than 2000 years ago
