| Abstract: | A new model to calculate the magnetic field in the end region of large hydrogenerator is proposed. The region to solve is expanded into the iron core, and the anisotropic and nonlinear stator core is considered. A new method to treat the boundary conditions is presented. The calcu- lated results are identical to the measured results. The model has great significance in studying the local over-heating in the end region of large hydrogenerators. |
