近扭颚螱属(Pericapritermes)一新种

我国已知近扭颚(尉虫)属Pericapritermes)Silvestri计有11种,其名录如下: Ltr.JJJ:MM 1.背崩近拉颚(尉虫)P.planiusculus Ping et Xu; 2.灰胫近扭颚(尉虫)P.fuscotibialis(Light); 3.古田近扭颚尉P.gutianensis Li et Ma; 4.扬子江近扭颚尉P.jangtsekiangensis(Kemner); 5.左斜近扭颚(尉虫)P.laevulobliquus Zhu et Chen; 6.多毛近扭颚尉P.latignathus(Holmgren); 7 近扭颚(尉虫)P.nitobei(Shiraki); 8.平扁近扭颚(尉虫)P.planiusculus Ping et Xu; 9.三宝近扭颚(尉虫)P.semarangi(Holmgren); 10.大近扭颚(尉虫)P.teraphilus Silvestri; 11.五指山近扭颚(尉虫)P.wuzhishanensis(Li); 作者最近在整理广西(区)产(尉虫)类标本时,发现一新种:合浦近扭颚(尉虫)P.hepuensisp.nov.,现介绍如下:合浦近扭颚(尉虫)Pericaprtermes hepuensis sp.nov. 兵(尉虫)(图A～D) 头部棕褐色;触角窝周围色稍深;上颚深赤褐色;触角色浅于头色,每节基部似比端部色深,前胸背板为浅棕黄色;中、后胸背板,腹和足为黄色。头部仅有少数较长毛,上唇端部有数枚短毛。

A NEW SPECIES OF THE GENUS PERICAPRITERMES TERMITIDAE) FROM (ISOPTERA: GUANGXI,CHINA

In some provinces of southern China, eleven species of genus Pericapritermes are known: 1. P. beibengensis Huang et Han; 2. P. fuscotibialis (Light); 3. P. gutianensis Li et Ma; 4. P. jangtsekiangensis (Kemner); 5. P. laevulobliquus Zhu et Chen; 6. P. latignathus (Holmgren); 7. P. nitobei (Shiraki); 8. P. planiusculus Ping et Xu; 9. P. semarangi (Holmgren); 10. P. tetraphilus Silvestri; 11. P. wuzhishanensis (Li). This paper reports a new termite Pericapritermes hepuensis sp. nov. col-- lected from Guangxi Autonomous Region, China. Pericapritermes hepuensis sp. nov. Comparisons: The soldier of Pericapritermes hepuensis, new species, comes closest to that of P. nitobei (Shiraki) but differs as follows: 1. Length of left mandible longer, about 1.40mm, distinctly more than width of head and more than half length of head without mandible; (vs. length of left mandible shorter, almost as long as width of head and as long as half length of head without mandible); 2. Width of pronotum broader, as broad as 3/4 head width; (vs. width of pronotum narrower, as broad as half head width); 3. Pronotum with anterior and posterior margins slightly emarginate in middle: (vs. pronotum with anterior margin slightly notched in middle, posterior margin convex not depressed in middle). Type locality: Hepu city, Guangxi Autonomous Region, soldiers(holotype, paratypes) and workers, collected by Yang Li--geng and Chen Ming--hao, March 29, 1986, dug out from ground. Holotype: soldier is deposited in Shanghai Institute of Entomology,Academia Sinica. Paratype: Soldiers and workers are deposited in Shanghai Institute of Entomology, Academia Sinica and workers are deposited in Shanghai Institute Entomology, Academia Sinica and Nanjing Institute of Termite Control.
