| 摘 要： | 通过对比分析英汉习语的对应关系与内涵，考察英汉两个民族的文化特征。阐述习语反映文化又受文化的制约、英汉文化孕育了各自具有民族特色的习语、正确理解和使用习语是跨文化交际的难点等观点。

| Abstract: | This paper inspects English and Chinese cultural characteristics through analyzing and comparing the corresponding relationship and their inner meaning. Idiom reflects culture and at the same time is restrieted by culture. English and Chinese cultures have bred their own idioms with strong national characteristics. How to understand and use idioms correctly is difficult in across--culture communication. |
