Abstract: | The steady state electrochemical machining process gives rise to both the direct problem which consists of determining the anode shape resulting from a specified cathode shape, and the inverse problem in which the cathode shape required to produce a given anode shape is sought. These two problems are solved by a perturbation scheme in which the perturbation parameter is the square of the ratio between the “wavelength” of the variation in the anode or cathode surfaces and the inter-electrode gap. |
