| Abstract: | Hydraulic grab is widely used in trench excavation in underground works. It is generally applicable to the case of lower depth and loose soil formation only. While hydraulic cutter can overcome the disadvantages of the hydraulic grab. The joint application of these two kinds of equipment in the construction of plastic concrete cut-off wall in Dam Complex of Upper Atbara Project （DCUAP） is introduced, which ensures the smooth and timely completion of the whole project. The experiences are of great value to similar projects in the future. |
