A Static Analysis Method for Detecting Buffer Overflow Vulnerabilities in C Program

In order to detect potential buffer overflow vulnerabilities of computer programs exactly, this paper proposes a static analysis method for detecting buffer overflow vulnerabilities in C programs. The method can find the buffer overflow vulnerabilities accurately by analyzing the status of the exterior data used which is based on the SSA of source code. The experimental results indicate that the method can avoid misjudgment effectively and is more accurate than other static methods.
