Abstract: | An optimisation cycle is a part of the development process for every new product. It has a very important role in today’s high-tech technology, where only optimal solutions can succeed in the market. If the structure does not satisfy given criteria, certain optimisation steps, such as redesign, use of other material, etc., have to be taken. A decision about what should be done depends directly on the correct interpretation of the results of the engineering analysis. A lot of knowledge and experience is needed to properly understand the results of the analysis and consequently to chose the appropriate measures, yet, the existing software for computer-aided analyses still does not provide adequate tools for a proper interpretation and evaluation of the results. In the paper, we present our vision of a knowledge-based system for more intelligent post-processing as a part of the optimisation cycle leading to optimal solutions more efficiently. |
