Economic Effects and Application Limit of Modified Conventional Pumpinq Units

According to in-situ observed statistic data from 27 wells in6 oilfields, the author discusses the power-saving modification results and application limits of conventional pumping units. The statistcs shows a result, within the application limits after the modifications, of 15% decrease in power assumption and 5% increase in productivity.The author also stresses the significance of making a power-saving modification on conventional pumping units under operation andan as quick as possible development of pumping units with out-of-phase counterbalance.
