| Abstract: | The researched objects are Baiguo Garden and Hualong Pond, two of the historic districts in Changsha. Based on the theories of renovating for protection, via investigating the existing circumstances and applying the method and skills of urban design, the research focused On the aspects of city planning, urban design and building technique to explore how to make the historic streets, alleys and civilian houses sustainable by means of renewing them. |
