To counter the disallowed gas concentration at the upper corner angle of medium-thick seam with fully mechanized caving mining, this paper gives a detailed analysis on the cause of disallowed gas concentration at the upper corner angle, puts forward new complex control techniques and methods for gas at the upper corner angle according to the cause of disallowed gas concentration, such as drilling holes along roof strike and ventilation by even air pressure.The site gas control demonstrates that these new methods are effective.
