From Ambiguous Property Rights to Management Buy-out--Reasons of Government''''s Giving up the Property Right of Township Enterprises

Ever since 1990's, there have been enormous changes in the pattern of property right of township enterprises and among a great many of the enterprises Management Buy-out (MBO for short) has been practiced. As for the reasons of government's giving up the property right of township enterprises in the course of reform, people in the circle of economy have presented explanations mostly from the perspective of economics. Considering the special role played by the government in market economy, we think it's impossible to give a general definition to the reform of property right of township enterprises simply through the view of economics. This thesis is trying to deliver a rational analysis to the transfer of property rights in the MBO of township enterprises.
