Preliminary Study of Multi-layer Programme Algorithm with PDC Bits

This paper takes PDC bits as the objective of research project to preliminarily study a multiple layer programme problem, and points out that the essence of multi-layer programme is how to reasonably allocate bit wear and its goal is to penetrate all layers of given well intervals during the shortest drilling time. Aoptimization model with equal and unequal restriction conditions is established on the basis of PDC bit's ROP and wear model. Algorithm is put forward to solve this problem with restricting footage accordingly. Therefore, good requirements have been provided to relize global optimization of PDC bit, programme well drilling, and solve multi-layer programme problems for other type of bits.
