登封、荥巩地区太原组 L_7灰岩至山西组含煤岩系中海绵岩的发现

作者近几年在登封、荥巩地区的研究项目中,首次在太原组 L_7灰岩的燧石层,之上硅质泥岩或生屑灰岩,山西组香炭段二_5煤底板泥岩的硅质泥岩夹层三个层位发现了海绵岩及其生物组合,这无疑对 C～P 纪地层划分及沉积环境均具有重大意义。

The discovery of Spongilite in the Taiyuan L7 limestone and Shanxi coal measure formation in Dengfeng Xinggong district,West Henan.

In the geological research at Dengfeng district west Henan in the recent years,we have discovered spongilite and its associated species in the following layers,namely:the chert limetone L_7,the silicious mud- stone or bioclastic limestone on its upper layers and the silicious mud- stone intercalation in the floor of coal seam Ⅱ_5 of Xiang-tan member of Shanxi system. Undoubtably this is of some significance in stratifying Permo-car- boniferous system and identifying their sedimentary environment
