Test Studies of Oilwell Pump Valve's Movement

The authors have observed and measured the valve'smovement on the oilwell pump testing table. The watchedresults indicate that the oilwell pump valve's movement isvery complicated, it not only has verticle movement butalso circle movement: the measured results showing bygraphs and charts explain the interrelationship between thevalve's movement and piston's speed. These conclusions arevaluable to structural design and material selection of oilwellpump valves.
